Revealed: Renee Gracie, the latest documentary feature from Stan, starts production this year, the world-class over-the-top streaming service provider and Screen Australia announced recently.

The new documentary follows the story of Gracie, who made a name for herself by becoming the first Australian woman to race full time in Supercars in 14 years. She is attempting to make another go at V8 racing since retiring from the sport in 2017, which has seen her, among other things, turn to adult content subscription service OnlyFans to come up with funds for her comeback.
The people behind the docu feature said through Gracie’s experiences come a narrative about exploitation, empowerment and resilience as well as a canvas of the great lengths women sometimes have to go to in surviving in a man’s world.
Revealed: Renee Gracie has an all-female creative team. It is written and directed by Australian Writers Guild Awards winners Frances Elliott and Samantha Marlowe, with Cody Greenwood serving as producer.
The documentary feature is produced by Stan with principal production funding from Screen Australia in association with Stan, Screenwest and Lotterywest.
Screen Australia expressed pride and excitement in seeing the production of Revealed: Renee Gracie get going.
“We are proud to support the talented writer/directors Frances Elliott and Samantha Marlowe and producer Cody Greenwood, who have a proven track record of crafting engaging documentaries. Not only is Revealed: Renee Gracie set to shine a necessary light on gender inequality, stigma and prejudice in sport and beyond, but it shares honest insights into Renee’s empowering origin-turned-comeback story – making for a compelling watch on Stan,” said the key funding body’s head of documentary Alex West said.
For Stan, the new documentary is another valuable addition to its widely received Revealed slate and further testament to its commitment to producing work that is compelling, bold and unique.
“Stan’s acclaimed Revealed slate has been a hugely successful collaborative partnership sharing uniquely Australian stories from an outstanding collection of directors, producers and journalists … Our commitment to invest and produce local original documentaries that take a deep dive into Australian contemporary topics and issues can be seen in our upcoming addition to the slate, Revealed: Renee Gracie,” Stan Chief Content Officer Cailah Scobie said.
She added, “We can’t wait to tell Renee’s story and continue our dedication to produce bold, unique and investigative content, not seen on any other platform.”
Revealed is the banner name for the series of Australian documentaries and investigative content produced by Stan in collaboration with the Nine Network. It premiered last year with Revealed: Amongst Us – Neo Nazi Australia. Each title in the documentary series features the work of journalists and producers from publications like 60 Minutes, The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald, and The Australian Financial Review.
